Art Prints & Originals
What’s the difference between a print and an original?
Originals are hand-painted, one-of-a-kind artworks (like watercolour paintings). Prints are high-quality reproductions made on paper, canvas either through a printer or manually in case of linocut prints.
What types of originals does SNS create?
At SNS, we offer two kinds of original artworks:
- Handmade Originals – These include watercolors and other traditional media created directly by hand. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and signed by the artist.
- Digital Originals – These are artworks created entirely in a digital medium. While they don’t exist as a single physical piece, they are original compositions by the artist and are offered as high-quality prints often in limited editions — and clearly marked as digital works.
Are digital artworks considered originals?
Yes. Digital artworks are original creations by the artist, just like handmade works. The difference is that digital originals are not physical objects themselves, but are presented as carefully produced, signed prints. You’re collecting the artist’s authentic digital composition — reproduced with precision and intent.
What’s the difference between a print and an original?
No, we do not offer downloadable or printable digital files of any artwork whether digital or handmade. All artworks are either sold as original pieces or as carefully produced prints. This helps preserve the integrity, value, and authenticity of each work.
Are prints signed?
Yes, all prints (limited edition or open edition) are hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
Can I request a specific size or crop of a print?
We offer standard sizes. Custom sizing may be available for some works upon request depending on the availability of suitably sized paper/canvas, but we don’t crop artworks.
